Rico graduated from a 3-year program at Humber College where he received an Advanced Diploma in Massage Therapy. He’s gained extensive experience working with a wide range of patients that included, but wasn’t limited to athletes, Children/Adults with mental disabilities and patients in palliative care. Rico is a firm believer in using massage in conjunction with proper body mechanics and movement as a path to a more pain-free and improved mobility way of life. During his studies, he also submitted research finding pertaining to the effects of Massage Therapy.
Rico’s aim is to find the root cause of the patient’s issue/impairment by using different assessment methods and addressing them by using the most effective massage techniques. He is qualified in massage techniques such as; Petrissage, Trigger point releases, Deep tissue therapy, fascial mobilizations, and will use heat, stretching and relaxation massage when appropriate in order to help the patient recover.
During his free time, Rico plays soccer, trains regularly at the gym, and is a nutrition enthusiast which helps him maintain good health and is a good example for his patients to follow. Always ready for a good conversation, Rico is sympathetic to his patient’s concerns, and aims to provide a well-balanced treatment that helps improves each person’s individuals needs.
