Advanced Muscle Release Therapy
Advanced Muscle Release Therapy (AMRT) is a non-surgical system of diagnosing and treating myofascial adhesion/scar tissue within muscles, fascia, tendons and ligaments. When soft tissue is injured, it literally “gets stuck”: Filaments of the tissue get bound together, forming dense scar tissue or adhesions. These adhesions impede movement, and often, even entrap nerves.
AMRT utilizes principles of friction and tension to release the adhesions away from muscles, fascia, tendons and ligaments of the human body. Using a series of hands-on techniques while the affected muscles are in motion, either actively or passively, the tissue’s adhesions are separated therefore restoring function.
